Go get them Danny Williams!

The Premier of Newfoundland-Labradour, the Hon. Danny Williams is going after Abitibowater and siezing their assets and property.
The company announced they were closing the paper mill and selling off their share of the hydro generating company to Ontario hydro for 197.5 million dollars and assume 250 millions dollar debt.
Premier Williams is bound to keep the people of Newfoundland-Labrador working and keep control of their resources despite retaliation through NAFTA.
The conflict between the province and the american company has finally brought the NAFTA agreement into the arena of the Constitution.
The company is demanding violation of Chapter 11 of the NAFTA agreement, and Premier Williams says that the agreement violated the Canadian Constitution in that Ottawa - the federal government - can not bind provinces to an international agreement without the consent of the provinces as individual provinces. Way to go Hon. Mr. Williams.
It is about time that some one in Canada stuck it to an american company after all these years that the american companies and states have f#$#ked Canada and individual provinces over and over again despite Canadian complaints to the NAFTA tribunal. The amercians have screwed Canada in soft wood lumber, beef, pork, corn, potatoes, and much more for years. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, they (or this american company) is crying foul and are demanding restitution for having their assets, licences, and property seized by provincial legislation.
I hope that the Premier wins as this would set a huge precedent, especially in the soft wood lumber industry where americans have stolen billions of dollars from provinces in an illegal tax and tariff. Despite Canada's protest to the NAFTA panel and winning the decisions of this panel, american states and companies still refused to return the money they illegally took, even after a negotiated agreement between Canada and the united states which only obtained a portion.
This is great. I love it. The Premier Williams wins, that leaves the door open for other provinces to seize assets of amercian companies in Canada that have robbed Canada of their natural resources while closing Canadian mills and companies putting Canadians out of work.
As Canadians begin to realize that they are loosing out by not buying Canadian, there is a shift at the grass roots level to buy local produce with in 100km of your location. Think about it. We know how the vegetables are being picked in Canada. We know that farmers provide washroom breaks for their workers so that they don't piss and defecate on the cabbage or lettuce being harvested like they do in many of the american farm.
Hydroponics are beginning to be established here in Ontario so that there is a supply of fresh vegetables through out the year now. There are more and more people growing their own produce, even on their own balconies. People are buying directly from farmers and friends who have a surplus of food. People are going to local butchers to buy locally raised beef, pork, and poultry.
Enough with buying lettuce from the states. Enough of buying meat from the states. It is time that more and more Canadians buy Canadian produce and products instead of foreign shyt that we have no control over.
Buy Canadian and Canadian only.
