We are no longer in Canada Totto!

Both the Federal and the Provincial governments in Canada have destroyed the nation and the people in what can only be seen as a slow death.
To-day in the Simcoe Reformer, the front head lines read: "Left with no market, growers destroy trees." The report continues telling the story of two peach growers who have no place to sell their peaches. As a result, they have uprooted well over 9,000 peach trees covering some 45 acres of land.
The last canning factory was shut down in what is typical of Canadian NAFTA and Free Trade Agreements brought in by lian Brian Mulroney, an agreement that Chretien didn't have the guts to re-negotiate or even tear up when he had the chance. The Del-Monte label, once a Canadian company was bought by Kraft and then the soft fruit canning sections sold to Sun Capital Corporation of Florida. The only canning factory left was in St. Davids and now that is shut down.
To top it all off, the Del-Monte label will still be sold, but the peaches inside will be coming from China. Why you may ask? Simple. The farmers in Canada can not compete with the slave labour established by the Chinese government. As long as the packaging is done in Canada, the label can read "product of Canada", and that is what is taking place.
So here we are in southern Ontario and California and China have become to bread basket and fruit suppliers of an area that was once a great source of food products for Ontario and Canada. So what has happened? It is called outsourcing for other manufacturing jobs.
The reason why governments are failing the Canadian people is simple. Any attempt to put a duty on imports violates all these free trade deals that have been made through out the world. The end result is that Canada (as it has become already) is nothing more than a warehouse for the products of the world. Where Canadians could count on anything and most everything made in Canada to be Canadian made, we now know that everything and anything is made and produced somewhere else while the packaging is done in Canada.
Meanwhile Canadian farmers and workers are being destroyed because of government in action and the blind belief of a "global village"; "global market"; "global economy". When will the Federal and Provincial Governments wake up and realize the destruction of the Canadian farmer and worker. Do we need a revolution of sorts to demand that Canada must be a producer of its own productivity? How do we tell the governments that Canadians are not going to be made into slaves of the world so that national billion dollar corporations can crap on workers and farmers.
Outsourcing is the destruction of Canada for the sole purpose of money in the pockets of owners not producers. Canada is not a warehouse for foreign products. We need to make our own produce and products to put Canadians to work. If this trend continues, Canada will be nothing more than a welfare state.
It is time Canadians woke up and made demands on politicians that count for Canada and for Canadians, not chinese and others.
